1890?
I've seen this one dated as 1890, but it looks earlier to me.
The reason given for making most of these early male nudes was to assist artists who could not affort life models. There is no doubt, however, that many were both made and purchased for personal enjoyment.
He does have that "haunted" look of earlier photography. Less panchromatic?
