After initially thinking this was an academic drawing, some searches showed it to be a 1785
woodcut print by Jean-Francois Janenet. In an interesting side note, Mr. Janenet was
not only an artist, but he is also known as one of the pioneers of hot air ballooning.
Definitely my favorite of the day! Mr. Janenet really captured the intimate relationship between the two men. I would assume that he exposed his feelings in this work. What a beautiful friendship!
