1953
I can't tell what this guy from 1953 is doing. Flying a kite?
I am a kite flyer, I have built kites of all sizes, giants. (5 meters of base in the shape of a delta) And tiny ones of a few square centimeters. The threads, or cables depending on the size of the kite go from a very fine silk thread to a nylon cable of several millimeters in diameter or very fine, but in Kevlar. The smallest kite in the world is the size of a postage stamp. That is probably why Big Dude does not see the thread :-)
Ein Bisschen Schwanzschatten hier. Danke!
ReplyDeleteI don't see a kite string...
ReplyDeleteIt might be imaginary, also, see Albert's comment below.

ReplyDeleteI never knew all that. Interesting!
DeleteIt is fascinating to watch, I know a couple of guys myself who fly kites. It is quite the skill.
DeleteOne of my neighbors works on a local fishing boat and flies a kite off the back on the way to and from port.
DeleteJa, und er sieht gut aus, wenn er seinen Drachen steigen lässt. :)
ReplyDeleteSieht aus wie ein Strand an der Ostsee oder der Nordsee. (“)
I've been to the Baltic shore, and it looks a lot like this.
