Beatnik
The sunglasses and the goatee scream early 1960s beatnik.
Beatnik for sure. After painting his masterpiece, he’ll go off to a bohemian coffee shop for coffee, weed, talk about art and philosophy and listen to modern jazz and beat poetry readings, or so the stereotype goes. Soon to be replaced around 1964 by what were first called yippies and later called hippies….:)
Actually, the hippies came first. The Yippies were political radicals of the Youth International Party, founded on the last day of 1967. The hippies had been around a couple of years, but became a big cultural phenomenon after the Summer of Love earlier in 1967.

I have seen glasses like that recently, nothing ever really goes out of style.

That's why my grandmother never threw away her old clothes unless they were worn out.
