Is that a pair (maybe there are actually three) of duelling pistols (in ceramic form) hanging on the wall? Maybe they're the US equivalent of the ubiquitous flying ducks of old. Did you also see the mask (?) just visible at the bottom left of the photo? Curiouser and curiouser...!
Not very imaginative, perhaps, but this may be the first photo of him completely naked. I remember the first time I posed naked for a Polaroid, I was quite shy too!

And what I assume is a glass ashtray on the side table, when adults smoked away. Then there’s the couch with the gold ball shaped wheels, all these items were so common back then. Rex in DC
