Demonstration?
The crowd gathered around makes me think the naked guy was demonstrating something.
Makes me think of "cement galoshes" but I know that's not the intent here. Servicemen do lots of silly things to relieve boredom. These are Germans, World War Two, but I can't imagine what was really going on here-Dee Exx
