John Haley
The Cubist influence is obvious in this 1923 drawing by American John Haley.
As if Haley were a student of Braque or Čapek with this male nude study. To me Haley had a simpler form of cubism. I’ve been to Paris and Prague, both cities that were centers of cubist art in all its forms. Prague especially, with its own rondo-cubist style and architectural gems of cubism. Rex in DC
Great place to visit and absorb great culture. Many hotels to choose from, my stand bys where the Jalta and the Europa right on the main square of Prague. Historic cafes like the florid Savoy and the Slavia, and bakeries. Restaurants galore, the beer tavern at the historic Municipal House and the Kantyna for hearty food. (pubs and cheap eats abound) Rex in DC
At least his gear isn't a cube.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I noticed that, too.

I'm hoping to go to Prague next September.
