Kenneth Pendleton
Despite being just 4’11” and 135lb, Kenneth Pendleton managed to win the Most Muscular Award at the 1941 AAU Mr New York City. He also won other awards and posed nude for Al Urban.
Fine proportions made for the win. Pendleton and Hilligenn are examples of short men winning titles due to having very well proportioned physiques. Rex in DC
An excellent photographer who really showcased mans natural beauty splendidly. It really is a shame he lost a lot of his work in police raids, that to me is criminal. Nice set Jerry.
Not only was he bothered by the police, but he also struggled with his own sexuality. At one point he borrowed a baby, had his picture made with her, and sent it to one of the "legitimate" magazines in which his work appeared. They published it, announcing the birth of his "daughter." There is no record anywhere of Al Urban ever being married, and no record of a girl born with that name in the time frame. Sad.
It is sad. You just have to look at what Rock Hudson and Tab Hunter had to endure just to keep their secrets. Even Raymond Burr had an "invented family" in his early bio. Unable to be who you were must have been a lonely place.
Great definition!
