When Jack Lalanne (at right) became a TV sensation in the 1950's, he went around to all the physique photographers who had photographed him nude and bought their prints and negatives. One photographer, Russ Warner, refused to hand his over, however. Thanks to Warner, we have some impressive nudes of this great bodybuilder. Today, I am featuring an amazing session where Russ Warner paired Jack Lalanne and Jack Thomas in an outdoor photo shoot.
wow , 2 of my favourite models from the 1950s . Thanks Jerry !
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful duets of muscular men !!!
ReplyDeleteI remember his TV show...always fully clothed. Though I could be wrong, I don't even remember seeing him in a swim trunks.
ReplyDeleteRight! He wore this odd little jumpsuit in which he exercised.
DeleteMy mom used to exercise in our living room with Jack on our little black and white TV.
ReplyDeleteInteresting guy who made a great living in the fitness industry, some even credit him with inventing it. We moved around a lot in the military, and his syndicated show only made it to the large urban areas and the west coast. Even as a kid in the 60's watching obvious reruns from the 50's, it seemed obvious that this guy and his message weren't going away. Didn't he have a sidekick named Debbie Drake? Loved watching her trying to eat a rubber apple and trying to make it look appealing.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember Debbie, but I seem to recall Jack in a silly jumpsuit sometimes.
DeleteIs it my imagination, or are they both tumescent?
ReplyDeleteCould be.
