Al Urban was said to have been an athlete and bodybuilder himself, even going so far as to use a photo of himself in one of his ads.  (Unfortunately, the photo appears to have been lost.)  

That personal history might account for the high proportion of finely honed models he used.  

This unknown fellow is a bit of an exception in that regard, having a nicely 

developed, but not utterly ripped body.
