Germans in Nature, Early 20th Century

Early in the 20th Century, Germany experience a sort of "back to nature" movement in which young men spent a lot of time outdoors doing manly things in groups and alone.  They are today's theme, and we start with some human construction work that may have been some sort of trust exercise.

  1. Jerry, thank you for the information about this. Lebensreform ("life reform") was a social movement in late 19th-century and early 20th-century Germany and Switzerland that promoted a back-to-nature lifestyle, with an emphasis on healthy, raw and organic food, alternative medicine, naturism and sexual liberation. As a gay pagan, I find this very interesting.

  2. Die Wurzeln der Bewegung liegen in Okkultismus und dem Wunsch, zum Heidentum zurückzukehren, um mit den Belastungen des moderne Alltags zurechtzukommen. (“)
