After he moved to LA, Bob Delmonteque became a successful personal trainer for
a number of celebrities.  I can't, however, figure out who this is with Bob.  The Polish
website where I found the photo didn't say, and they look like they're up to something.

  1. Looks like boxer Rocky Marciano. He died in a plane crash in 1969.

  2. I think J is correct. Did Delmonteque work the male side of the street, do you know?

    1. One does wonder indeed. While he certainly moved in "gay heavy" circles, he was married to and buried alongside his wife Madeleine. That doesn't prove anything, especially for men of that era, but I've never heard of him being gay.

    2. Well, he could have done some of each. Like you say, men did not admit partaking in male-male sex back then. Meanwhile, do you mind if I fantasize a bit, Jerry?

    3. Go for it. You'd be in good company.

  3. From LA Times article in 2004 : And besides, Delmonteque notes, he has been married to his wife, Madeline, for 56 years. Of course, they have maintained separate residences for years: She lives in their Malibu house and he lives in Woodland Hills. They speak frequently on the phone, but visit with each other just a handful of times each month.

    1. Wonder who visited whom and if he had any "roommates" or "gentlemen callers"? It's fun to speculate.

    2. Here's a link (you'll have to cut and paste) another article from someone who inteviewed him:

Apparently he knew the notorious gay artist/photographer George Quaintance and found him to be too "prissy."
