Seated Models by Five Photographers
Today I'm featuring photos by five of my favorite photographers
in which the models are seated. This is John Gallagher by Al Urban.
Love this, very inspiring. To me just the right amount of oiling. Deep black ground, yet John's fine broad and delightfully slightly furry physique is nicely displayed.
To me heavy oiling can work on dark skin or with dark body make-up. Implying a living statue. I always lightly oil for modelling. I have been told it gives better muscle definition. Also the heating can be very drying.
The lighting is nice here. His body is great and the light oil brings that out. His bush ain't bad, either, nor is his male organ.
ReplyDeleteAl Urban's work is quite good overall, but not all of it is at this level.

ReplyDeleteOver time, I've come to appreciate light oiling, but I still don't like it when they slather it on.
