Ty Granger (not to be confused with a Clemson U. football player of the same name)
is best known for his Falcon Studio movies of the 1980's.  I was, however, able to
find what is purported to be an earlier 1970's photo of Ty and a bicycle.

  1. I really don't think I would ride a bike in the raw, though I guess if a man got erect, it would place his penis "out of danger." Bur if he had low hanging testicles...Hey, Jerry, it's another great theme. Thank you!

    1. Some of the danger is to the perineum, which is still erectile tissue, but behind the testes.

  2. It doesn't get more quintessential early 80's than this photo. With the tube socks, trainers and very abbreviated gym shorts, any guy could mimic the fashion.

    1. Men's shorts were short (1/3 to 1/2 thigh-length) in the 70s too. Actually the long shorts, as I call them, the shorts that extend below the knee, are more late 90s/00s.

  3. Ty was a 70s porn star with Falcon. He did a loop called Dirt Bikes in 1978 where he was paired with (among others) the impressive Kyle Hazzard. This photo is from his Falcon solo loop released that same year.

In the summer of 1978 I found myself walking down Christopher Street on a sunny day in the West Village. It seemed like every other guy was wearing what became known as the "gay uniform" of the day -- Adidas sneakers, striped tube socks, short shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt. Misty water-colored memories...

    1. Somewhere I have a G-rated picture of a disco from 1978, and it looks like an army of clones, all dressed that way with the same haircut and a mustache.

  4. I think a lot of physique models graduated. Sonny Landham was a physique model and did one loop with another guy, no sex. In the 70s he was in multiple pornos or semi-legit pornos like Sylvia: All straight. In the 80s, he was a second string action star.
