The 1950's, Part 2 - Art by Don Wight

Don Emerson Wight (1924-1999) was best known as a fabric designer, but early in his career, he did a series of interesting male nudes.  These do not appear to be academic works and are generally dated to the 1950's, hence their inclusion today.  We start with one of two reclining nudes in my collection.

  1. Do you have the actual work in your collection? Cool!

    1. No, all the art I post is from a digital collection, although I do have a few pieces in this ilk.

  2. I appreciate how you've expanded into different styles and commentary. You taught me about an artist and his work about which I had no knowledge. Many thanks for the education and ancillary material. The works have a curious combination of simplicity and inchoate sexuality. I trust that you'll do more of these posts in future.
