Very Roman+
While much of von Gloeden's work has a Roman influence,
Sweet cheeks seems to be holding a wine vessel. Today Sicily is widely known for its Marsala wine industry which was encouraged and expanded by English wine merchants in the early 1800’s. Today, you will see English surnames in Sicilian phonebooks….:)
