Bruce Bellas had a wonderful sideline photographing real cowboys at rodeos all over the West,
and I really like this one that includes a fine horse. The cowboy is looking at the camera, but the bond between him and the horse is obvious. The equine is comfortable, confident and beautiful.
The cowboy isn't wearing spurs because he didn't need them. Below we have
one of Bruce's better cowboy shots using a model. Both men are unknown.
Both are wonderful examples of handsome maleness, IMHO. Big Dude

ReplyDeleteBellas loved a good rodeo and traveled across the USA and Canada in pursuit of photogenic cowboys. And in a time when interstate freeways were just beginning to be built and automobiles would suffer from flats with their rayon cord tires, and vapor locked and overheated engines….:/
