Unknown Cowboys

Bruce Bellas had a wonderful sideline photographing real cowboys at rodeos all over the West,
and I really like this one that includes a fine horse.  The cowboy is looking at the camera, but the bond between him and the horse is obvious.  The equine is comfortable, confident and beautiful.
The cowboy isn't wearing spurs because he didn't need them. Below we have
one of Bruce's better cowboy shots using a model.  Both men are unknown.

    1. Bob's correct. Bruce called him Black Hawk. He back for another session without the facial hair and a more muscular physique. Nice!

  3. The two polar opposites of Bellas’ work, the well dressed cowboy with his horse and a wooden corral fence for a backdrop, and the undressed midnight cowboy enhanced by a background of shrubs and breeze blocks.:)
Bellas loved a good rodeo and traveled across the USA and Canada in pursuit of photogenic cowboys. And in a time when interstate freeways were just beginning to be built and automobiles would suffer from flats with their rayon cord tires, and vapor locked and overheated engines….:/

  4. It's not my birthday, but thanks for the handsome authentic cowboy with his horse and for the very nice cowboy model. I love it when you cowboy up.
