Today we will look at some lesser known physique photographers. As you will see, being lesser
known does not necessarily mean being of lesser quality. We start with Davis Danby
as photographed by Frank Bork, a fine Canadian photographer who did business as Can-Art.
Mr. Borck eventually became almost an iconic figure in the Canadian gay culture scene.
My favourite shadow! Thank you, Jerry.

ReplyDeleteProbably taken here in Toronto, I have been collecting his work for years now. He contributed to a magazine that is now a collectors item. Way ahead of it's time.

Thanks for posting the link, Pat. I have some digital versions of that publication that I should post.
DeleteSuperb. Although it's repeated by so many photographers, the combination of the male nude figure and manmade structures, nicely evokes the men who built them.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Mr. Borck took some interesting photos of a male model with some huge industrial pipes.
DeleteAnd what about this 'Davis Danby' fellow? Looks unaccountably familiar to me for some reason.
ReplyDeleteYou may have seen other photos of him.
