Today is Military Men Day on the blog and we start with one of a group of photos made at the same time from multiple angles by a lucky photographer. I've already posted several of these, some of which were given to me by Dee Exx, and others which I found on my own. The guy near front right seems to know exactly what's going on and seems to be enjoying it.
I love this photo and the boy in the foreground who is smiling and seems to be enjoying the spectacle offered by his colleagues...
ReplyDeleteI agree. His cheeky smile tells it all.
DeleteBefore portable or soldier-made showers, bodies of water were often the only way soldiers could get clean. I've done it myself; cool salt water is really refreshing on a sweaty day. I've seen pictures of soldiers in the US civil war bathing in rivers and creeks. Civilian men and boys often did this before indoor plumbing , and in New Orleans it was so common that eventually the city forbade skinny dipping during daylight hours.
