Christopher
I've always been very taken with this Dave Martin photo of Christopher Ray emerging
from the woods with a bundle of arrows in his hand. Snapped at just the right moment
with just the right splashes of light and shadows, it approaches perfection.
I agree, Jerry, this is pretty damn close to perfection. I haven't come across Christopher Ray before. Did he pose for many photos? He's definitely a 'keeper'.
Yes, he did more, and I have posted a few. (Not enough, really.) Put his name in the search box at the bottom of the label list, and they should come up.
Is it just me, or does the lighting in all five shots bring out these men's maleness without "going overboard?" In four of the five, the groin is lighted brightly. In the one of Henry, it is not so noticeable, but his maleness is not at all relegated to being obscured.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Dave Martin uses the lighting so well that the models maleness is brought out in such a beautiful way. There is nothing gratuitous about any of these shots in my (far from expert) opinion.

It's true, and Mr. Martin had a talent for that.
DeleteYou are correct. IMO you can't get any closer to perfection.
ReplyDeletePerfection in many ways. The model, the lighting, the location.
ReplyDeleteThe male beauty of Mr. Ray and the photographic talent of Mr. Martin.
