Equus
Mr. Scumbeast was unusually succinct in desribing this photo simply as "Equus."
I think Mr S was probably making an allusion to the 1973 play Equus by Peter Shaffer which was based on a true story of a psychiatrist who treated a youth in Suffolk who had a religious mania about horses and had blinded six of the beasts. It was later adapted for the cinema, staring Richard Burton and Peter Firth as psychiatrist and youth. It is a very disturbing piece of drama and has scenes very reminiscent of the photograph above.
Great light/dark contrast. And posterior, too.

ReplyDeleteI knew about the play/movie, but you put it into a context that explains Mr. S's use of the title. Thanks!
DeleteReally great and intense photo. Amazing contrast, and the model is so toned and the lighting is perfect.
ReplyDeleteTalented, but unknown, photographer.
