Al Emerson
Dave Martin took this photo of Al Emerson near San Francisco in 1954.
While it isn't impossible that supplemental lighting was used, I think it is probably natural. Dave Martin was certainly capable of doing this without it.
Jerry, do you reckon there was some artificial lighting involved here? All in all, it's a stunner.
