Gene Staggs
This photo of Gene Staggs by Doug Juleff, aka Douglas of Detroit, survived the infamous Detroit police raid of 1958. This sort of repression is worth mentioning again in these challenging times.
Bel homme Staggs comme un homme dans un rêve. Poor Juleff left to the closed minds of réactionnaires with nothing better to do. Many artistes through the epic of man has had to deal with this even to this day. The ignorant réactionnaires never learn, they only know how to persecute :\
Gene Staggs was one of many physique models who got their builds from their military service. Rare uncropped photo by Douglas Juleff. Photos like these give one a good idea on the equipment photographers used and the equipment of the men that posed. Rex in DC
Interesting to see the overhead light showing. Great male, nice light oil job..
ReplyDeletePut him on the bus, Jerry!
Mr. Staggs deserves more recognition.
