Unknown
My source called this one "unknown" despite the writing at lower right.
My notes say only that this sketch is by a Russian artist, and is found in the Russian Art School "Repin Academy of Fine Arts" In St Petersburg. Artist unknown, no info on the model, no date. The School was originally founded in 1747, and its name has changed several times over the years. In 1947, the famous Russian painter Ilya Repin gave the school his name. -2ndWave
The Repin Academy is renowned for its archive of drawings. It’s collection reminded me of the Albertina in Vienna and the cabinet of drawings in Berlin. The artist of this drawing had an excellent eye for detail and the model has a well built physique, no doubt also chosen for his fine ass. With that musculature he must have been an industrial worker. Rex and DC
This is photographic! Handsome, well-built male, too
ReplyDeleteI agree on both points.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Albert.
DeleteAn exceptional drawing!
ReplyDeleteTruly.
DeleteOui, exceptionnel, cul callipygique et derrière désirable :)
ReplyDeleteThe writing looks like Russian cyrillic script.
This is exceptional, my favourite for today.

Interesting. Thanks for the info!
DeleteIt's interesting that the model is wearing a watch on his left wrist.
