1929
The pose in this 1929 photo is somewhat unconventional,
but it really shows off some fine musculature . . . and grace.
Yes, he was married and had two kids. He was actually quoted once on the subject of homosexuality in his later years. He said that he worked with some photographers he knew were gay and had no problem with it. As for himself, he said he "preferred" the straight lifestyle, whatever that meant.
Although some of Mr. Sansone's photos are more artistic or appealing than others, I've never seen a bad one, which is more than I can say about some models.
It almost seems like a ballet step, doesn't it? And there's that 6 pack so clearly visible. Aaahhhh...
ReplyDeleteWas he married? Seems to me I read that he was, but I wonder if he ever had any male-male sexual activities.

DeleteSounds to me like he might have crossed over at least once...
DeleteYeah, that's what it sounded like to me. I believe the comment was made to Lon Hanagan, aka, Lon of New York, a gay man.
DeleteA superb series Jerry. Every photo is a winner, although I guess it would be really difficult to take a bad picture of Tony Sansone.
