Boxer?

This is a 1930s boxer in the locker room, and he looks mighty happy.  Oh, and that's a woman's hat and light jacket hanging on the wall at left.  Maybe he's going to his other job in a drag review.

  1. Well, we've all got bills to pay! He's a good looking guy and nicely built too. Thanks Jerry, I enjoyed this series.

    1. Glad you liked it, Peter. Read the comments below to see how far off my guess was as to the sport.

  2. He won his bout, no doubt. Jerry, the lighting looks professional. Could this be from a magazine? Unpublished, though?

  3. Jerry ummmm…. Those guys are jockeys and the nude one in the middle is being congratulated for,I believe, winning the Triple Crown. The jockey on the left, forgot his name, was the current title holder. The drag outfit you pointed out is actually a racing silks outfit and cap.

    2. His name is Eddie Arcaro (five time Derby winner ), Ray York ( middle) the other is unknown . I think this was taken after Ray won the 1954 Kentucky Derby...

    4. @ Dart & everyone - I have the same info, with a little extra. This was after the Kentucky Derby 4, 1954. Eddie Arcaro (left); Ray York, winner, age 20; and Willie Shoemaker (right).
