Jean-Marie
The muscles really stand out in thid photo Jean-Marie Négri I received via Brian E.
Monsieur Negri is certainly built well. I've seen a couple other pictures of him that don't show off the musculature so well. Is the yellow tone due to aging?
Now you really are spoiling me! I've enthused about Jean-Marie Negri a number of times so it's great to see a new (to me) photo of him. What a body ... and he was a real looker too. Thanks to Brian E for sending this gem.
I am now wondering whether his surname needs to have an 'S' added to it. In some of the captions of photos I have for him the surname is spelt: Négris. The fact that in the French pronunciation, the terminal 's' would be silent, may have led to confusion in a non-French speaking context. He is named Mr. France Jr. in one photo's caption and Mr. Europe Jr. in another.
I noticed the different spellings, too, Brian. I think your explanation of it is valid, and I seem to recall that it wasn't at all unusual for these great models to hold multiple titles.

ReplyDeleteProbably aging as it does not look like an intentional sepia tint.
