1931 Kettle Bells
I don't know if the Germans invented kettle bells,
but they sure do show up a lot in FKK photos from the interwar era.
They were too relaxed and free thinking for the Nazis, who suppressed their organizational framework, but did not persecute them the way they did so many others. Their resilience was remarkable, and they were back in a big way by 1950.
