Angle
The angle of approach here is different, but the pose is similar to another in today's set.
I found an interesting article https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/arts-letters/articles/john-coplans that says "Coplans used an assistant to aid him in recording his poses, but 'Back with Arms Above' was taken, interestingly, with the collaboration of his son, Joseph."
Were these bulldogs done using a timer? Or did he have an assistant?
ReplyDeleteI read several articles on his self portraits, and no ome mentioned your question. Considering when they were made, I'd guess that a timer was used.
