Outdoor Washup
The photographic quality is very good in this shot of GIs washimg up outdoors.
I think those facilities were designed to double as laundries, too.
Another photo that I like. Nudity is so natural for these men. The smile of the man in front proves that there was a good atmosphere! I love these photos where the men are happy!
I've always thought this was post-WW II, since servicemen after the war were usually beefier thanks to better nutrition and more attention to personal fitness, but I could be wrong-Dee Exx

ReplyDeleteI kept thinking the same thing, but those tents sure look like WWII. Maybe they were still using some of them later.
