There is a Michelangelo vibe to this photo that makes me think is was an artist's study.
Very tricky to get poses like his right. Fine as a photographic pose but as a life pose getting into a position that is stable a aesthetically pleasing is quite difficult. Ideally there is some hidden support for the back...
