Fig leaves that don't quite cover the goods
Today we look at six photos where men with fig leaves still manage to show some goods, mostly bush. We'll start with these three early 20th Century fellows clasping hands.
If you look closely at the male on the left, you can see his glans and some shaft through whatever that is...on the right, his scrotum is slightly visible...
A handsome trio. The "whatever they are" certainly distract from the composition. As the models appear to be serious in their pose, yet the fig leaves are quite basic, I'm wondering if they were done partly as a joke? Is/was there a serious fully nude version? Having experimented with "fig leaves" myself, the main problem is getting them to sit fairly flat.
Good questions from your unique perspective, as usual. FWIW, the guy at left resembles a British model who posed for some anatomical texts early in the 20th C. Not really sure if it's the same man, though.

ReplyDeleteLeaves me wondering if this photo was retouched after the fact.
DeleteAdam and Steve were in the garden
ReplyDeleteWhere all was very jolly
But I wonder what the answer'd be
If all the leaves were holly...
Sounds like a prickly situation.
DeleteI wonder who the lucky guy was who attached the fig leafs? I'd volunteer.
ReplyDeleteEarly day fluffer.
DeleteI was thinking the same!!! And HOW were they attached??
DeleteI've heard everything from wax to string to glue.
