This group of Avent Smith pictures is a bit of physique photography history in regard to what often went into the pre-publication process. This is either a contact sheet, a preliminary ad mockup, or both. Contact sheets were "down and dirty" cheap prints made without the full individual photo finishing process. Based on how those looked, some would be selected for quality production and the rest discarded. This also looks like a page from a collector's scrapbook.
