Duboscq-Soleil

Jules Duboscq-Soleil (1817-1886) was best known in his time as a maker of fine
scientific instruments, including photographic equipment.  He was also, however,
a pioneering and good photographer who took this male nude around 1850.

  1. This is utterly gorgeous. Such detailed lean musculature nicely shewn.

  2. I'm equally particularly enamoured of this photo. I'm not exactly sure why - maybe the quality, the musculature, the setting and pose, or all of the above!
