I spent most of September on vacation, and one of my stops was Vienna, an amazing city. Today I'm posting the first of several series of photos I took of art works there, namely sculptures
from the amazing Kunsthistorisches Museum. We start with Mercury from 1520 by
Pier Jacopo Alari de Bonacolsi (ca. 1455-1528), called Antico for short.
I was in Vienna in November of 2019. I did not pay a visit to this museum, but if I'd known it contained statues such as these I would have!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many good museums in Vienna that it's hard to see them all in a typical visit. I had done some research and knew I had to make it to this one.
