Ralph Morse
Well known war photographer Ralph Morse took this picture of a mobile shower unit in September of 1944. Much of his work is in the LIFE Archive, and I think this is as well.
The photo opens to the light. And having the first man bent over and everyone lined up in a row adds to this effect. Good photographer to choose when and where to take the photo.
Truly incredible.

ReplyDeleteThere are others taken at the same time that are special in their own ways. I will eventually get around to posting them all.
DeleteThanks in advance
DeleteThis is part of a Sept. 1944 set by Morse in the LIFE archive called "Mobile Laundry".
ReplyDeleteThanks, Larry!
