There's always one guy . . .
In every group, there's always one guy who has to be different,
and today we feature that guy in some group swimming settings.
******************** In this very beautiful series, there is always a man who shows himself naked. I like to be naked. If it doesn't bother the others, why deny it? Nudity is freedom, a return to nature, the pride of one's body. I would like to find people near me who share my ideas, but in Belgium, it is not easy.
That guy would be me...Attitudes to naturism does vary from country to county in Europe. Here in England we are surprisingly liberal. Treated as a form of our cherished individualism and eccentricity. It is not illegal to be naked in public, it is only if you meant to cause offence which is quite difficult to prove. A friend of mine lives in rural Somerset. He gardens naked most of the year. He chats with his farming neighbours has deliveries, all done naked. Apart from complements about his tan nobody mentions that he's naked..
I had a job delivering free samples door to door in Austin, Texas in the summer of 1976, and it was amazing how many people came to the door nude. On one particularly hot Saturday, the naked dad of family consisting of 40-something parents and two teenagers asked me in out of the heat for a glass of iced tea. I accepted the invitation and asked if they wanted me to take off my clothes. Mom said, "It's up to you." I did and was glad of it. They were lovely people.
I moved out of Texas for good shortly after finishing graduate school that same year. I've been back to Austin recently, though, and I have to say that despite the slogan, it's not nearly as weird now as it was then. They work too hard at it for the weirdness to be genuine.

I'm glad you enjoyed the series, Albert. I thought naturism was enjoyed everywhere in Europe, but apparently not in Belgium.

DeleteThat is absolutely wild. Something you don't forget. I tend to think of Texas as being pretty conservative...but I guess it WAS Austin.

DeleteYes, I noticed that, too. More than one joker in this scene!
