The position of this knife wielding model couldn't have been comfortable,
but he does seem to have a cushy animal skin under him.
I wondered about that myself, but the background and technical photo elements don't match my Lalaing examples. Having said that, I do think it could still be his.
Lalaing was primarily a sculptor, so all those paintings in the background make me wonder. I did some checking, though, and discovered that he continued to paint even after he became well known as a sculptor, so who knows?

DeleteStunning pose and musculature. Yup..not a comfortable pose to do..I was wondering is this perhaps the rear view of a Jacques de Lalaing model?

DeleteThe painting on the left does look to be in his style. On a personal note, modelling surrounded by art is a lovely experience.
