Ball on the Beach
This is some pretty good stop action photography for 1932.
Not just any photographer can capture a moving image with that kind of clarity. You need a camera with an incredibly fast shutter speed with the highest quality film and, of course, amazing talent. Still, the model had to do a few takes to insure that they got it right.
Nice lack of tan lines! And the action shot is remarkable for that era. Riebicke really knew his craft.

ReplyDeleteYes, I'm sure several "insurance" takes were required despite Riebicke's obvious skill and access to the best film and cameras.
