Crowded
Things are a bit crowded here, but everyone seems happy.
Bob Mizer's property in LA was a rambling complex, and there may well have been more than one shower, but here is a link (you'll have to cut and paste) to a shot of the most famous version: https://www.mbphoto.com/artists/568-bob-mizer/series/other-works/14382/
This is not the AMG shower. The photo, by George Strock, was published in the Jan. 4, 1937 issue of LIFE magazine. The caption says:
"The four young men you see under a shower on the opposite page compose the backfield of the University of Washington football team which plays the University of Pittsburgh eleven in the Pasadena Rose Bowl on Jan 1. They are (left to right) Halfbacks Jim Cain and Byron Haines, Fullback Ed Nowogroski and Quarterback Elmer Logg."
Nice to see men who were not hung up about being "hung" and yet in close proximity.
ReplyDeleteNot at all self conscious.
DeleteIt's even more crowded in here than the AMG shower! I'd certainly be happy to be in there with them.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know the occasion.
DeleteYes, most definitely the infamous AMG shower. I even recognize the grouting.

Thanks, Larry! College football players certainly sure look different after 84 years.
