Vic by Doug

This photo that I posted almost two years ago hits two categories of favorites, model and photographer.  The great Doug Juleff  (Douglas of Detroit) took this photo of Vic Seipke, and it somehow managed to escape destruction by the Detroit police.  The lighting, the pose, and the model all approach perfection.
We must never forget those who paid the price for our freedom to enjoy these images!

  1. How anybody could find this anything but art, at its finest, is beyond me. Vic looks like a statue of a Greek God.

    1. I certainly agree, but a Greek god would have something smaller when it came to one key element.

    1. Yes, Jean, there is a troubling trend toward anti-gay bigotry in some places even today.

  3. Vic Seipke est comme une etoile filante venue de ciel, fugace et jamais oubilee. Douglas Juleff, sur cette image, etrait un maitre non seulement de la lumiere, mais aussi des ombres et des tenebres.

    1. As you say, this is an absolute masterpiece of light, dark, and shadow. Most photographers go through their entire careers without accomplishing this.
