Not all the reviews were so glowing. Some critics didn't like the "macbre" shaughterhouse workers and "burned out" drifters. Sometimes we need reality shoved in our faces, however, so I'm OK with those portrayals.
I agree. In looking at those photos you see the harsh existence, and it may not be pretty but it their life. Every time I look at them I can't help but wonder what their fate might have been.
