Allyn Cox painted this mural at the University of Virginia law school in 1934. Cox offered to paint fig leaves on the men's crotches, but university officials surprisingly declined the offer.
I'm pretty sure it could never happen that way, but I love to think about all the models for all the men in the mural being lined up all at once. ***Sigh***
Amazing...when artists and their patrons were not afraid of naked men.
