Fig Leaf

The second feature for Wednesday is a series of fig leaf photos.  We start with a man who doesn't match the strong man body type we usually see in these late 19th and early 20th Century photos.
I'm quite taken with his moustache and body hair, though.  Maybe he was a boxer?

  1. Damn! That's a sexy man. Wish that fig leaf wasn't there...

  2. A delightful image. With all the fig leaf ones I try to see if it is fastened to the model or added later. I think this one is, in which case then how? I've been experimenting with them.

    1. Glue? Hairpins? Wax? I've even seen one with visible string holding it on.

    2. I wonder where one would buy one? I have used double sided tape.

    3. Somehow, I don't see a factory somewhere churning them out, lol. Probably have to make your own or get one of your artist friends to make you one.

    4. LOL..I have used a real fig leaf, slightly dried then sewn to make a pouch shape. This worked quite well, fastened using cotton thread wrapped twice around my scrotum then knotted at the front. This thread has inspired me to have another go. Maybe preserve the leaf in linseed oil to stop it drying and splitting. I've also tried a large shell with elastic round my scrotum. I think the trick is to wear a small cotton bag type pouch tied around the scrotum to enclose the cock and balls. Then fasten the fig leaf to that. I need to experiment more.

  3. I believe that a lot of them had string or ribbon attached to the side that faced the body and then they were tied around the scrotum. Now, whether the model did this himself or he was "assisted" I don't know. But I can think of worse things to have to do than tying a figleaf around this guy's scrotum. That would be a pleasure!

    1. I suspect they did it themselves, although I'm sure there were some artists and assistants who would have loved to help them.

    2. Yes, having tried several methods on myself some sort of lace needs to be used. Very tricky to tie it at the back yourself though.

  4. I'm not sure if I would want to pose wearing one for any length of time. I might have a go, see what it feels like.

  5. He reminds me of some of the fully clothed Aussie army officers from an earlier series. Same sort of mustache, same haircut, same build.
