  3. Même si ce modèle ne correspond pas exactement à ce qui m'attire chez un homme, j'avoue que je ne dirais pas non s'il me le proposait...
Dommage que les autres modèles de cette série ne soient pas nus...

Even if this model does not exactly correspond to what attracts me in a man, I admit that I would not say no if he offered it to me ...
Too bad the other models in this series are not naked ...

  4. I'm not sure it's accurate to say that most of these models are straight, but it would be more accurate to say that most of them were married. I've been told by a lot of older gay men that they all got married at some point, before the 70's. A lot of them would be labeled today as bisexual. Exhibitionism is certainly a strong personality trait for these guys, but that trait isn't unique to gay and bisexual men.

    1. We'll never know the percentages, but in the earlier years of physique modeling the proportion of straight models was higher than later according to several sources. A lot of these guys in the 1940's and 1950's were competitive bodybuilders who started out getting photos made in trunks and posing straps to use to promote their careers. Then there was money to be made posing for bodybuilding magazines, and at some point, more than a few of them agreed to pose nude. (Unless they were in Detroit, they had nothing to fear from the police. It was the photographers who got regularly arrested.) I have communicated directly with two models from that era and read interviews with several others. Some of them joked about being straight and knowing that their pictures were being pitched to gays. Early fitness entrepreneur Dan Lurie said that he even knew his favorite photographer Earle Forbes and most of Forbes' customers were gay. He added that it didn't bother him "because the promotional pictures were the best, and I got paid instead of having to pay for them." Like most aspects of human sexuality, this one is very complicated.
