Jack Thomas strikes a classic stage pose from competitive bodybuilding.
I see this as a possible clue that his unattributed photos could be by Russ Warner,
a photographer who specialized in bodybuilders and was one himself for a time.
He was a handsome beast, wasn't he... Do you possibly have a date for this series? I think I must have first seen them in about 1970. (I kept my little collection of physique mags in between the lining of my sports bag, which as a runner and swimmer, always accompanied me...)
Jack was indeed a stunner. I have seen these photos dated about 1955, and I think that is correct based on Jack's career history as a successful competitive bodybuilder.

DeleteStunning. Interesting to see the affect of cooler air, tightening his scrotum to produce a forward hang.
ReplyDeleteNoting my own comment. I see the right edge of his "pouch" is much further from the edge of his left thigh muscle than his penis head in the nude one?
DeleteYes, see my comment below.
DeleteIt seems there has been, ahem, some serious "pruning". The shadow of his membrum virile against his left leg has also been removed.
ReplyDeleteYes, there was some notable retouching as well as drawing in the pouch.
Deletea stunning physique...
