1930's Part 2 - Documenting the Great Depression


The 1930's saw the worst economic depression in the history of the world, and part two of today's series shows some photographic documentation of the era.  Dorothea Lange took this photo of an unemployed lumberman who was picking beans to support his family.  He has proudly had his Social Security number tattooed onto his right arm to show his support for the then new program.
