Larry Carr Day, Part 1 - Nudes

After some recent posts keyed to particular photographers, Larry Carr's name landed
on a list of requests for dedicated model series.  I'm more than happy to oblige.  He modeled
for AMG, Kovert, and Denny Denfield in the period of about 1948-1952.  We start with a
typical Denfield outdoor scene involving rocks and a handsome man.

  1. Beautiful pose, almost a classical Greco-Roman statue. The lighting is unusual in that his legs below the knee do not contrast strongly with the dark background. That bicep on his left arm shows up well.

    1. The excellent and influential German photographer Riebicke used this exact pose in the 1930's.

  2. Damn, this is a good series, Jerry. Nine for nine - this is your Steph Curry (or Ray Allen) moment.

    1. Glad you enjoyed the series, Leroy! This has to be the only time I've ever been compared, even figuratively, to basketball stars.

  3. Really outstanding series, Jerry! He's one of my all time favorites, along with Dale Curry.
