Burt Lancaster
I find it hard to believe that Burt Lancaster would autograph this for someone.
It says, "To Davey with love, Burt." Does anyone know if this is for real?
I've heard the stories that he was bi, but no real evidence of it. Speaking of bi actors I think that it was Mysteries and Scandals that did a story on Laurence Olivier and Danny Kaye's "friendship" and that's why Vivian Leigh went off the rails.
I've heard about Olivier and Kaye, and while it might have speeded Ms. Leigh's trip off the rails, I've read accounts that indicated she was well on the way by then.
I don't doubt his cruelty at all, but some people who knew Miss Leigh said there was underlying instability. Of course being married to an abusive man only made things much, much worse.
