I don't get the "Tarzan and Jane" reference in a gay coloring book.
Oh well, things were different back then.

  1. Its a reference to "I am the top and you're going to be my bottom."

  2. There were no tops and bottoms in the 60s tho. Gay culture back then favored oral, which can be reciprocal, but straight hustlers were not reciprocal, though they might engage in mutual JO. Notice the exclusive "you can suck me but I won't suck you" (but I will take off my clothes and let you touch it) was considered straight, unlike the more bi-exclusionary culture of the 80s and 90s, where you were either 100% gay or closeted. (Strangely, they embraced closeted yuppie gays wholeheartedly. I *am* yuppie-exclusionary.)

Anal was popularized in the 70s and 80s with the rise of gay porn; it was also a staple of straight porn, so it seems to be a matter of medium. In time, all other sex acts became a prelude to anal, and "top or bottom" was a regular question at parties.

For this, it's simple. Think of Tarzan's supporting cast: The only other human characters anyone remembers are Jane and Boy, and Boy is non-canon and might have unfortunate implications.
